Screven County commissioners vote 5–2 to abandon Farm Road; approve inmate housing, transportation amendment and road bids

Commissioners Romeo, Triplett, Boyd, Lovett and Warren voted in favor; Commissioners Allison Willis and Mike Dixon opposed. The board awarded a bid to Littlefield Construction for $289,766.40 for the county’s 2021 LMIG (Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant) road projects. Commissioner Mike Dixon moved to accept the bid and Commissioner J.C. Warren seconded; Commissioners Dixon, Warren, Boyd, Romeo, Triplett and Lovett voted in favor, and Commissioner Willis opposed. The board also approved a separate bid to Mid-State Stripping for $61,500 for 2021 LMIG SAP projects; that motion passed unanimously.
