Coffee County commission holds executive session on litigation and property negotiations; meeting adjourns

County Attorney Tony Rowell told the commission they needed to enter executive session for the purposes set out in O.C.G.A. 50-14-2(1) (litigation) and O.C.G.A. 50-14-3(b)(1)(B) (negotiations over property). Commissioner Oscar Paulk moved to enter executive session at 9:45 a.m.; Vice-Chairman Ted O'Steen seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The minutes record a motion to adjourn executive session at 10:45 a.m., moved by Commissioner Johnny Wayne Jowers and seconded by Vice-Chairman O'Steen; all commissioners voted to return to open session. The special called meeting was formally adjourned at 10:47 a.m. by unanimous vote after a motion from Commissioner Jimmy Kitchens.
