Fayette County awards construction and stormwater contracts, moves forward on Fire & EMS training facility

Symonds said construction costs will be added through change orders later.
Assistant Environmental Management Director Courtney J. Hassenzahl briefed the Board on Bid #2344-B to replace eight failing corrugated metal pipes in the Foxhall Farms subdivision; the Board approved awarding the work to Hughes Site Works, LLC for $309,281.38. Consent-agenda items also approved earlier in the meeting included Lake Kedron Dam intake sluice gate replacement to Zion Marine Inc. (not-to-exceed $62,700), a 2017 SPLOST culvert replacement award to F.S. Scarbrough, LLC ($117,706.35), and a not-to-exceed $105,000 change order for Ironside Locates utility locating work.
