The Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 11 approved three drainage permits for landowner Richard Soulek after opening a public hearing that drew no protest. Chairman Colin Soukup moved to approve Drainage Permit 2025-09 (NE 1/4 of Section 22, Township 97N, Range 64W, Howard Township, near 390th Ave and 288th St); Commissioner Kory Standy seconded the motion, and the board voted unanimously.
The board then approved Drainage Permit 2025-10 (NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 and W 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section 12, T97N, R64W, near 391st Ave and 287th St) and Drainage Permit 2025-11 (NW 1/4 of Section 13, T97N, R64W, same vicinity) on subsequent motions (Soukup/Standy). The minutes record no public objections.
The approvals permit the permittee to alter drainage on the identified parcels; the minutes do not list permit conditions or further mitigation requirements. The board took no additional action on drainage matters at the meeting.
