The Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 11 approved the county’s auditor and treasurer reports for the month ending Nov. 30, 2025, reporting an ending balance of $8,660,227.63. Auditor Jason Gant presented the reconciled totals, which the board accepted by voice vote (motion by Vice Chairman Nick Stotz; second by Commissioner Kory Standy).
The board also approved vendor claims and payroll listings, with the meeting record showing a grand total of $133,642.05 in bills across county departments. The minutes include detailed department-level expenditures and payroll periods for Nov. 26 and Dec. 5, 2025; the board approved the bills as presented (motion by Commissioner Kory Standy; second by Vice Chairman Stotz).
Register of Deeds fees of $9,030.50 for November were reported and accepted. The board took no additional fiscal actions beyond routine approvals.
The next regular commission meetings are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Dec. 29 and Jan. 5 at the Charles Mix County Courthouse in Lake Andes.
