Charles Mix County names chair to request state wildland fire aid under new resolution

Charles Mix County commissioners on Feb. 12 adopted Resolution 2026-02 designating the county’s commission chair as the county designee to request assistance from the South Dakota Wildland Fire Coordinator for suppression of range fires.

The resolution cites SDCL 41-20A-11, which authorizes a county-designated official to seek state wildland fire suppression support.
