County Manager and County Attorney Curtis Potter told the Washington County Board of Commissioners that buyers and sellers of Washington Regional Medical Center have tentatively agreed to request an additional 30 days to complete a sale.
"The parties have tentatively reached a decision to ask for a 30 day extension to make the sale," Potter said, and he asked that the parties provide timely updates to the county as the transaction proceeds.
No vote was taken on the item; Potter presented the status update and said staff would report further information to the board as it becomes available. The matter remains in negotiation and no final sale terms, dates or conditions were disclosed during the meeting.
Potter also discussed other county real-estate and facility matters elsewhere on the agenda and asked the board to expect more updates as those items develop.
