Box Butte County adopts 1 & 6-Year Road Plan after public hearing

At 10:02 a.m. Chairman Steve Burke opened the hearing and Road Superintendent Barb Keegan provided the required legal publications and a recap of projects completed in 2025 and proposed projects and estimated costs for the upcoming planning period. Resident Mary Crawford spoke during public comment about local road conditions. The hearing closed at 10:46 a.m., and Commissioner Mike Sautter moved to adopt Resolution 2026-03 (seconded by Brett Ditsch); the motion passed unanimously (Ditsch yes; Sautter yes; Burke yes).
The adopted resolution approves the county's 1 & 6 Year Road Plan with noted objections or alterations referenced in Exhibit A to the resolution.
