Burleson County commissioners approve grants, investment report and RFP; all motions pass

At its Feb. 27 meeting in Caldwell, Burleson County commissioners unanimously approved a series of routine motions including acceptance of a $38,400 H-E-B Keep Recycling grant, approval of 1QFFY2022 investment report, authorization of RFP #2023-01, acceptance of ARPA LATCF funds and payment of county bills.
Burleson County Commissioners Court met Feb. 27, 2023 in the county courthouse in Caldwell and voted unanimously on a package of routine items, including grant acceptance, an investment report, a request-for-proposals authorization and payment of county bills.
Commissioner Vincent Svec moved to accept a Keep Recycling grant funded by H-E-B in the amount of $38,400 for a cardboard baling project that runs through Oct. 1, 2023; Commissioner Dwayne Faust seconded the motion and the court approved it. The court also approved the county’s 1QFFY2022 Investment Report after a motion by Commissioner Svec and a second by Commissioner Faust.
Commissioner David Hildebrand moved and Commissioner Dwayne Faust seconded authorization to issue and advertise Request for Proposals for county depository contracts under RFP #2023-01; the motion passed. The court further approved a resolution to accept Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund (LATCF) funding under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) on a motion by Commissioner Svec and a second from Commissioner Faust.
The court accepted two small donations on the consent agenda — $130 designated for the Burleson Health Resource Center and $100 for the County Child Welfare Board — and approved budget amendments for Road & Bridge and FM in Precinct 2. Commissioner David Hildebrand moved and Commissioner Robert (Bobby) Urbanosky seconded the consent agenda; the court approved it.
The court voted to authorize payment of county bills on a motion by Commissioner Hildebrand and a second by Commissioner Svec. All recorded motions in the minutes were approved by the full court; the minutes record “All voted Aye. None voted No.”
The meeting adjourned after the court completed its business.
