Burleson County commissioners approve tower lease, event permits, grant application and two‑year bank contract

The commissioners ratified an application to the Kubota Hometown Proud grant program for $100,000 with no local match required; the motion to ratify was made by Commissioner Vincent Svec and seconded by Commissioner Dwayne Faust and carried unanimously. The court also approved allowing stored materials on private property owned by Ervin Meier at the end of County Road 469 to support the CR 469 completion grant project (motion by Robert Urbanosky, seconded by Dwayne Faust).
The court recognized April 9–15, 2023 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week following a motion by Svec, seconded by Faust, which passed unanimously.
