Goodhue County board approves consent agenda including union contracts, CSAH 11 grading contract and $1.81 million in 2025 carryovers

The Goodhue County Board on Feb. 17 approved a multi‑item consent agenda that included labor agreements, a road grading contract and other routine items, and separately approved 2025 budget carryovers and county claims.

Specific consent items recorded by the board included approval of LELS 91 and LELS 92 contracts, a Memorandum of Agreement for LELS 92, award of the CSAH 11 Grading Contract (S.A.P. 025‑611‑031), approval of a Dangerous Dog Appeals Hearing Officer contract, an AFSCME 2026–2028 letter of understanding for the Recycling Center, and approval of the LELS 78 employee union contract (added to the consent agenda by County Administrator Arneson). The consent agenda motion was moved by Commissioner Greseth and seconded by Commissioner Majerus and carried 5‑0.

Budget Committee recommendations to approve 2025 carryover requests were adopted by the board. The approved carryover amounts shown in the minutes are Capital $1,719,216 and Operating $92,105, totaling $1,811,321.

The board also approved county claims across funds (recorded amounts include $515,599.64 in the General Revenue fund and $117,698.56 in Public Works), with the minutes listing a total claims payment amount of $1,169,568.07.
