The Lower Blue Planning Commission on Feb. 15, 2024, recommended Richard Adams to fill a vacancy on the commission after interviewing four applicants and approved that recommendation in a unanimous 5-0 vote.
The interviews included applicants identified in the minutes as Jacob Deneault (LB/Wilderness resident), Jason Kassib (LB/Heeney resident), Richard Adams (LB resident) and Owen M Dodd (Silv resident). Following the interviews, commissioners recorded Richard Adams as their first choice and a tie between Kassib and Deneault for second choice.
Joe Newhart, chair of the Lower Blue Planning Commission, moved to approve the commission’s recommended ranking; James Donlon, a commission member, seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously, with the minutes recording the outcome as a 5-0 vote.
Earlier in the meeting commissioners also approved revisions to the Summary of Motions from the Nov. 2, 2023 meeting after Michael Good requested changes; James Donlon moved to approve the revised summary and Good seconded. The commission approved the Feb. 15 agenda as well. Rajeev Malik was recorded as joining the meeting at 4:30 p.m.; the meeting began at 4:00 p.m.
The commission voted to adjourn at 5:30 p.m.; the minutes note that Donlon made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Michael Good. The meeting minutes were submitted by Margaret Citak, Administrative Support II.
