Morgan County raises fairgrounds rental fees to cover upkeep; new schedule effective Nov. 1

Exhibit A to the resolution outlines new rates: an Events Center rate of $2,000 per day ($4,000 for a Friday‑to‑Sunday celebration), an indoor multipurpose building rate shown in packet materials, a refundable damage/security deposit schedule, and accessory and equipment fees (for example, heaters at $40 each per session and portable bleacher rental at $40 each). The resolution doubles listed rates for nonresidents. The resolution states the new fees will be effective Nov. 1, 2025.
Commissioners approved the resolution by a 3‑0 vote. Staff were directed to update the county website with the new fee schedule and implement the rate changes starting Nov. 1.
