Simpson County Fiscal Court approves transfers, budget reallocations and vendor payments

The Simpson County Fiscal Court unanimously approved routine fiscal business at its Nov. 21 meeting in the Simpson County Historic Courthouse in Franklin.
County Judge/Executive Mason Bames opened the session; Magistrate Marty Chandler moved and Magistrate Jeffrey Burr seconded approval of the Nov. 7 minutes, a motion the court adopted by a unanimous vote. The court approved two cash transfers: $55,000 from the General Fund to the Jail Fund and $49,077 from the Federal Grant Fund to the General Fund. The court also approved several budget transfers, including $300 moved for staff travel and training and $1,271.41 shifted into fire fleet maintenance and repair.
Magistrate Jeffrey Burr moved and Magistrate Scott Poston seconded a motion to approve vendor bills and claims covering routine county operating expenses; the motion carried unanimously. Vendor payments approved spanned county departments and included utilities, payroll, road and jail expenses and contracted services listed in the meeting record.
The court voted to enter executive session at 9:05 a.m. under KRS 61.810(1)(f) for personnel matters and reconvened and adjourned at 10:00 a.m. (motions by Magistrate Chandler; second by Magistrates Poston and Burr as recorded).
