Fleming County schedules meeting with Concord Road property owners over runoff; nuisance declaration possible

Fleming County officials on Aug. 10 discussed repeated complaints about an unapproved property entrance on Concord Road that is causing water runoff and creating extremely muddy conditions.
The court reported that property owners have been notified multiple times both by certified mail and verbally but had not remedied the problem. County officials scheduled a meeting with the property owner(s) for Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, to include the County Judge/Executive, the Assistant County Attorney and the Road Supervisor. The court said it may institute a nuisance declaration under Ordinance 05-005 and Ordinance 95-004 at the next meeting if the conditions are not corrected in a timely manner.
No immediate enforcement action was recorded at the Aug. 10 meeting; the judge/executive had earlier noted that an appraisal and survey related to a separate roadway issue on Wooley Road at the Caudill property had not yet been received and that no action had been taken on that matter. The court recorded its intent to pursue administrative remedies if the Concord Road condition is not resolved following the Aug. 12 meeting.
