FLEMINGSBURG — At its Sept. 13 meeting the Fleming County Fiscal Court received a circuit court order removing Magistrate Chris Hickerson from office. County Attorney Monica Hill told the court the order issued after all appeal rights were exhausted.
The Fiscal Court directed the County Attorney to send notices and to pursue recoupment of any overpaid wages from Mr. Hickerson. The County Attorney also will determine who is responsible for notifying the Governor's office of the resulting vacancy.
The minutes do not include details of the underlying court action or the grounds for removal, nor do they record any statement by Mr. Hickerson at this meeting.
