Fleming County approves new track loader, mower purchase and courthouse roof repairs

The court accepted a sealed bid from Ag Pro for a new track loader. The bid was $67,633.55; the county will apply a $34,000 trade-in credit for its CAT track loader, leaving a purchase price of $33,633.55. The award and payment claim were approved by unanimous vote.
Because contractor estimates to mow county properties and the walking-trail park were high, County Judge/Executive John Sims procured a quote and the court approved buying a Grasshopper mower from Crumps Lawn and Garden for $17,538.80.
High winds had caused significant courthouse roof leaking and shingle damage. After inspection by a Kentucky Association of Counties adjustor, the court approved verbally filing an insurance claim (up to $40,000 less deductible) and authorized payment of $36,000 to Bradley's Home Improvement for roof replacement upon completion.
The minutes also record approval of a $9,400 office flooring payment to Fizer's Carpet upon completion and approval of a $55,098 pay request to Momentum. All votes on these items were unanimous.
