At its Feb. 7 meeting the Snowflake Town Council approved its consent agenda and voted on several other items.
Consent agenda: Motion by Councilmember Kerry Ballard, second by Lora Jones, approved (unanimous with Cory Johnson absent). Items included: council minutes (Jan. 10, 2023); the January check register; Resolution 2023-02 (grant application for water meter replacement); Resolution 2023-03 (grant application for water line replacement); Resolution 2023-04 (grant application for golf-course infrastructure improvements); an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Navajo County and Navajo County municipalities for distribution/use of opioid settlement proceeds pursuant to the One Arizona Plan; and a 30-foot trail easement for a regional trail.
Zoning: Motion by Kerry Ballard, second by Lora Jones, to deny the rezoning request for parcel 202-05-042B (Smith/Tenney) from R10 to GC passed unanimously with one member absent. Planning and Zoning had recorded a dissenting vote and the town recommended denial.
Other actions at the meeting included the approval of a land exchange for parcels 202-05-053B and 202-05-011N and first reading approval of Ordinance 2023-01 (town code text amendment); both motions passed unanimously with one councilor absent. The minutes record no recorded no votes against these motions.
