Franklin County legislative committee forwards six notary applications to full commission

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners Legislative Committee met Oct. 5, 2017, in Conference Room 204 at the Franklin County Courthouse. Chairman Johnny Hughes called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the committee adjourned at 6:06 p.m.
Committee member Eddie Clark moved to approve the minutes of the Sept. 7, 2017 meeting; Committee member Dave Van Buskirk seconded, and the motion passed on a voice vote recorded as "all ayes." Later in the brief meeting Van Buskirk moved that six notary applications be recommended to the full Franklin County Commission for approval; Clark seconded and the committee again voted "all ayes."
A county certificate of election to the office of notary public lists the six individuals the governing body elected at its Oct. 16, 2017 meeting and provides contact information. The six names recorded on the certificate are: Deborah S. Bailey (Winchester), Tiffany Chandler (Decherd), Kimberly Anne Fosdyck (Estill Springs/Tullahoma listed), Lesley Morgan (Decherd/Tullahoma listed), Margaret Ottley (Winchester), and Shelley Thomas (Estill Springs). The certificate includes home and business addresses and phone numbers as part of the public record.
The committee took no other substantive actions. The recommendation to forward the six notary applications will be considered by the full Franklin County Commission at its next meeting. The minutes were noted as "Respectfully Submitted" by Chairman Johnny Hughes.
