The Franklin County Board of Commissioners approved a series of budget and grant actions at its March 16 meeting.
The board adopted Resolution 3a‑0320 to amend the Franklin County Board of Education general‑purpose school budget; minutes record the vote as 12 yeas and one pass. Commissioners also approved Resolution 3b‑0320 amending the county general fund budget (roll call shows a 9–4 vote with individual votes recorded in the minutes). The board received and filed quarterly finance reports and the county finance director’s reports.
The commission authorized submission of Resolution 3c‑0320, an application for a State of Tennessee Mental Health Transport Grant for FY 2020–2021, and approved a series of multi‑year lease and maintenance agreements for copy equipment for county departments and school locations. The Finance Committee’s minutes and a discussion of a target‑based budgeting framework were received and filed.
