At its April 17 session the Dickson County Commission handled a series of routine and local items under "Other Business."
Commissioner Carl Buckner requested a 35 mph speed study on Lena Road from Lena Road to the interstate. Planning & Zoning reported that proposed R3 development moratorium regulations are expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2023. Mayor Bob Rial appointed Commissioners James C. Dawson and Cindi Gray as a two-person liaison to the Humane Society and other county groups.
On a motion by Commissioner Becky Spicer, seconded by Commissioner Dwight McIllwain, the commission approved a slate of notary appointments covering 15 individuals. Commissioner Carl Buckner announced that the Fiala Family donated 1.5 acres on East Piney for a Tennessee City Volunteer Fire Department site. Dr. Danny Weeks invited the public to the Dickson County Schools annual review at Cross Point Church on April 20, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.
The commission set its next regular session for Monday, May 15, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
