Rush Valley council sets 2026 calendar, approves lot-line adjustment and ratifies bills

At the Jan. 28 Rush Valley Town Council meeting Mayor Johnson presented the town’s 2026 meeting dates and the council approved schedule adjustments: the June meeting moved to June 17, the November meeting to Nov. 18 and December to Dec. 9. Councilmember Dana Gardner moved to approve the adjusted schedule; Councilmember Lacey Burrows seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Councilmember Dana Gardner moved and Councilmember Pete Albrecht seconded approval of a lot line adjustment presented by Scott and Patricia Holladay affecting parcel 01-287-0-0008. Both affected landowners and the adjacent owners, Trent and Berkley Loomis, provided documentation and agreement. Attorney Rob Clegg advised the parties they must record the lot line adjustment with the Tooele County Recorder and said the mayor must sign the recorded document; there is a $50 recording fee. The council approved the adjustment with all present voting in favor.
The council also ratified November 2025 bills and December 2025 bills (motions by Dana Gardner, seconds by Pete Albrecht) and authorized payment of December bills (motion by Pete Albrecht, second by Dana Gardner). Each motion passed with unanimous votes recorded.
The council took several routine procedural steps at the start of the meeting: oaths of office were administered to Mayor Johnson and Councilmembers Lacey Burrows and Jeremiah Harding for four-year terms ending in December 2029, and the mayor confirmed no changes to councilmember duty assignments.
