At its Oct. 25, 2021 meeting the Tazewell County CPMT reviewed CQI data through September FY21, completed internal-control and risk worksheets delayed by the pandemic, and asked the CSA coordinator to pull the same CQI reports for November along with data from two nearby localities for comparison.
During new business on Oct. 25 the Tazewell County Community Policy and Management Team reviewed Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) data covering FY2017 through September FY21. The materials reviewed included total net expenditures, year-to-date net expenditures, ICC and CBS metrics, foster care statistics and distinct child counts by service placement type.
The Team completed the OCS Internal Control Worksheet and the OCS Risk Management Worksheet; members noted both assessments were delayed from the usual July completion because of the pandemic and set a goal to complete the assessments in July 2022 going forward. The CSA coordinator was directed to retain a copy of the completed assessments.
Members discussed which CQI charts to review and how frequently to review them. The Team requested that the CSA coordinator pull the same CQI information for the November meeting and include comparable information from two nearby localities so the CPMT can benchmark the county’s metrics against local peers.
The calendar review also recorded ChildFirst Virginia Forensic Interview Training scheduled for Nov. 1–5, 2021. The minutes do not include additional detail about training participants or funding for training.
