Tazewell County CPMT tightens member attendance to 80%

The Tazewell County Community Policy and Management Team voted Dec. 20 to raise its minimum attendance requirement for members to 80 percent, an increase from the prior 50 percent standard.
Vice Chair Lori Gates-Addison opened the meeting and the attendance list noted seven members present. The motion to adopt the higher attendance threshold was made by Sheri Hale and seconded by Robbie Davis; the Team approved the change unanimously.
Under the new local rule, members may miss two of 15 meetings; members who miss more than two consecutive meetings will be replaced. The minutes say the adjustment brings local policy into alignment with OCS policy and SEC Policy and Procedure. Team leaders plan to notify members the first week of January 2022 and to vote the change into the Policy and Procedure manual in February 2022.
The attendance change was recorded as a formal motion and approved at the meeting. No amendments or dissenting votes were recorded in the minutes. The motion was procedural and did not itself change member appointments or remove any named member; such personnel actions would follow the local policy process if absentee thresholds are exceeded.
Next steps: a notification to all CPMT members is scheduled for early January and a formal vote to incorporate the change into written policy is planned for February 2022.
