The Tazewell County Community Policy and Management Team met March 28, 2022, and approved a series of routine items and case funding following a closed session.
Motions approved during open session included adoption of the Feb. 28, 2022 CPMT minutes; approval of the February financial report; acceptance of encumbered WRAP funds; approval of Safe & Stable funds; authorization of CPMT non‑mandated member attendance; renewal of 2022–2023 vendor contracts; and approval of revised forms including the Initial Individual & Family Service Plan, IFSP Review and a new PSSF Safe & Stable Service Plan. Edwinna Crawford moved several of these motions; various members seconded and each motion passed unanimously as recorded in the minutes.
The CPMT then entered closed session to consider foster care, CPS, Cumberland, Court Services and school cases and related funding. The CPMT certified the closed meeting under Code of Virginia §§ 2.2‑3711 and 2.2‑3712 with a recorded vote of AYES 9, NAYS 0, ABSENT 1 (other absence details noted in the minutes). After returning to open session, Robin Boyd moved to approve the cases and funding discussed in closed session; Melinda Smith seconded and the motion was approved.
The minutes record that motions were seconded and passed without recorded dissents for the open‑session items. The CPMT adjourned at 11:01 a.m. and scheduled its next meeting for April 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
