CPMT approves routine financial motions and enters closed session to authorize foster care and CPS funding

Motions to approve Encumbered WRAP funds and Safe & Stable funds were also moved and recorded as unanimously passed in the minutes.
Later in the meeting Kim Bales moved that the CPMT enter a closed session to discuss foster care, child protective services (CPS), Cumberland, Court Services, Tazewell County Schools cases and funding. The motion was seconded by Shanna Plaster and carried. After the closed session the CPMT certified the closed meeting under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (citing Code of Virginia §§2.2‑3711 and 2.2‑3712) and recorded a certification vote (Ayes 9, Nays 0, Absents 1). Following certification, Robin Jackson moved to approve the foster care, CPS, Cumberland, Court Services and Tazewell County School cases and related funding as discussed in the closed meeting; the motion was seconded by Dwayne Sturgill and approved by members.
The CPMT then returned to open session and adjourned at 11:36 a.m. The minutes record the motions and outcomes but do not list individual roll‑call votes for the routine motions; the closed‑session certification includes a numerical tally.
