Summary
The Tazewell County CPMT reviewed its Quality Improvement Plan response to an OCS CSA audit and asked members to prepare data for a fuller discussion at its May 23 meeting after members said they lacked time to compile materials.
The Tazewell County Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) reviewed an April 4 Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) addressed to OCS Program Auditor Rendell Briggs and agreed to postpone detailed discussion until its May 23, 2022 meeting after members said they did not have data prepared.
Jeff Brintle, Director of Court Services and CPMT chair, asked that members bring the requested information to the May 23 meeting so the CPMT could fully document deficiencies and corresponding action steps in response to the Final CSA Program Audit (self-assessment validation covering Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2019). The coordinator had distributed the QIP materials by email on April 14 but members present said they had not prepared data points for the April 25 meeting.
CPMT member Shanna Plaster made the motion to place the QIP back on the May 23 agenda; Sherri Hale seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The motion directs members to review the audit materials and bring specific CQI data for discussion and any supporting documentation the team needs to complete the local response to the audit.
The item matters because the QIP is the jurisdiction’s formal response to findings in the CSA Program Audit and will guide corrective actions and reporting to the Office of Children’s Services (OCS). The CPMT placed the QIP follow-up on the May 23 agenda to allow members time to compile utilization and outcome measures before the team finalizes action items.
