The committee discussed options for adding air conditioning to the Circuit and Probate courtrooms to improve comfort and acoustics during summer months.
Members noted that existing window-mounted units require opening courtroom windows for venting, which affects acoustics and the ability to hear proceedings. Administrator Kelly J. Church recommended that a project manager or HVAC engineer lead any courtroom air-conditioning project. The committee directed Administrator Church to follow up with U.P. Engineers & Architects to develop options and cost estimates.
No formal motion was taken; the item remains at the discussion and planning stage pending proposals from engineering staff.
