The Chippewa County committee approved releasing requests for quotes to upgrade Central Dispatch power systems and to purchase a rally bar device for the Public Defender’s office.
Committee members reviewed three RFQs and a memo from Director Postma describing the need for Central Dispatch UPS and electrical upgrades. Commissioners authorized staff to release RFQs for the dispatch UPS and electricity work and for a Public Defender rally bar. The committee noted a second rally bar could be added to the RFQ package if the MIDC approves an increase in the Public Defender’s budget.
Commissioner Justin Knepper moved and Commissioner Scott Shackleton supported the motion to release the RFQs; the motion carried by voice vote. The RFQ process will provide vendor bids and cost information to guide any subsequent procurement decisions.
