Chippewa County committee signs off on UPS purchase, IT contracts, jail mental‑health grant and other county contracts

The committee awarded Ayres Associates the three‑year inspection of the Caribou Lake Level Control Structure (Dam ID 1941) in accordance with EGLE dam‑safety requirements at a cost not to exceed $2,530, and accepted the low bid from Maximus Consulting Services, Inc. to complete the county's Cost Allocation Plan for FY24–FY26 at $5,000 per year. The committee also approved U.P. Engineers & Architects, Inc. to provide design, bidding and contract administration services to install air conditioning units in both the Circuit and Probate courtrooms at a fee of $3,900.00.
Finally, the committee approved recommending February claims and payroll for board approval, totaling $2,356,689.71 across general, other funds and health‑department claims and payroll.
