Animal Control Officer Michelle Reid told the committee that Girl Scout Troop 1033 members Anna Leddy and Kenna Mousseau proposed an 8‑by‑3‑foot arched bridge with handrails to provide a place for people grieving the loss of a pet. Reid said the troop has donated wood and concrete and will fundraise for remaining supplies. The committee approved the project unanimously.
The project was recommended for approval as Action Item #11 and will proceed with construction and fundraising coordinated with shelter staff.
