Finance committee approves routine payments, Enterprise invoice, EOC budget adjustment and fair society deed update

At its April 10 meeting the Finance Ways & Means Committee approved paying $15,610.86 in general bills, authorized payment of Enterprise Invoice FBN5291506 for $21,679.35, approved a $2,060.64 EOC budget adjustment to cover two employees who worked during an ice storm, and authorized an updated superseding declaration for the Alpena County Fair Society following a name change.
The Alpena County Finance Ways & Means Committee on April 10 approved a series of routine financial and administrative items.
The committee approved payment of General Funds and Other Funds totaling $15,610.86 after Chairman Bill Peterson presented the bills and Commissioner William LaHaie moved and Commissioner Dan Ludlow supported the motion. A roll call vote recorded AYES by Commissioners LaHaie, Ludlow, Bray, Foumier, Britton, Konarzewski, Kozlowski and Peterson; NAYS: None.
The committee also approved Enterprise Invoice FBN5291506 for $21,679.35. Commissioner Travis Konarzewski moved and Commissioner Todd Britton supported payment of the invoice; the motion carried on a roll call vote in which all commissioners voted in favor.
County Administrator Jesse Osmer reported a budget adjustment request to the Emergency Management EOC Support line item (#101-426-704.000) for $2,060.64 to reimburse pay for two employees who worked in the Emergency Operations Center during a recent ice storm. Commissioner John Kozlowski moved and Commissioner Brenda Foumier supported recommending the adjustment; the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the committee approved a superseding declaration regarding the use of county fair property to reflect the Agricultural Society’s name change to Alpena County Fair Society and authorized the chair to sign pertaining documents. Commissioner William LaHaie moved and Commissioner Bill Peterson supported that action; motion carried.
Administrator Osmer also reported an airport meeting and noted Airport Manager Steve Smigelski’s departure date will be April 30 due to auditing at the airport. During public comment Emergency Management & E911 Director Kim Elkie and Board Chairman John Kozlowski thanked staff and volunteers for their response during the recent ice storm. The meeting was adjourned at 12:29 p.m.
