The Charlevoix County Materials Management Planning Committee on April 24 approved committee bylaws and a work program that will guide development of the county Materials Management Plan.
Mathew Cooke, DPA representative, told the committee the bylaws used language from Part 115 to describe duties such as calling special meetings and identifying attendance rules. "Any changes to anything would be run through the committee or the chair," Cooke said.
Vice Chair Tim Nemecek moved to adopt the bylaws; Kirk Miller supported the motion and the committee carried it. The committee later approved the Materials Management Plan Work Program and voted to send the work program to the Charlevoix County Approval Agency for consideration; Victor VanDeventer supported that motion.
The approvals followed procedural housekeeping earlier in the meeting: the committee approved the meeting agenda and amended minutes from March 27. Jonathan Scheel, chair, arrived during the meeting and resumed chairing at 10:11 a.m.
