Alpena County panel approves $29,790.21 in EMS reimbursements to City of Alpena

The Alpena County Courts & Public Safety Committee voted June 16 to approve reimbursement requests from the City of Alpena for emergency medical services supplies totaling $29,790.21.
Deputy Fire Chief Andy Marceau told the committee staff is one step closer to receiving title for an ambulance and will contact the State of Michigan again to complete that process. Marceau then presented two reimbursement requests under the county’s Ambulance Service Agreement: $8,000 for restocking drug boxes and drug kits and $21,790.21 for disposable EMS supplies for the January 1–May 21, 2025 period.
Commissioner Bill LaHaie moved to approve the reimbursements; Commissioner Dan Ludlow supported the motion. A roll-call vote recorded ayes from Commissioners LaHaie, Ludlow and Chair Lucille Bray; there were no nays and the motion carried.
The committee’s action was recorded in its meeting minutes as Action Item #1 and will be processed per the terms of the Ambulance Service Agreement. The committee received the ambulance title update as information and did not take a separate vote on title transfer timing.
The committee also received and filed the Ambulance Fund monthly reports later in the meeting.
