Custodian Scott Hopf presented three bids and a repair estimate for the Annex generator at the April 15 meeting. Quotes were Fischer Electric $8,566.00, Varitech Incorporated $9,159.89, and Weyer Electric $9,210.00; a repair quote for the existing unit was $2,000 after a yearlong wait.
The board reached consensus to replace rather than repair the 14-year-old generator and voted to accept the bid from Fischer Electric; ARPA funds will be used to pay for the purchase. The minutes record the motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
Staff will proceed with the purchase and installation arrangements using ARPA funds and will retire or dispose of the existing generator according to county policy.
