Dubois County to create Health Educator post and add phone line for Pre-to-3 program
Summary
The board approved creation of a Health Educator/Community Outreach position at the Health Department contingent on grant funding and authorized adding a county cell phone line for the Pre-to-3 program.
Health Administrative Director Shawn Werner asked the board on April 15 to create a Health Educator/Community Outreach position funded by a Safety Pin Grant or, if that grant is not awarded, by the Co-Ag Grant for 2024 and Health First Indiana funds for 2025. The board approved creation of the position contingent on grant funding and classified the wage at PAT III.
Werner also requested the addition of a dedicated cell phone line on the county plan for use by the Pre-to-3 program; the board approved the request. Both actions were adopted unanimously and will be implemented if and as grant funds become available.
