The FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board voted Aug. 20, 2024, to accept the FY2023 financial audit conducted by Gabridge & Co. and to disburse $5,050 for the audit. Administrator/Controller Kelli Scott reported the audit received an unmodified (clean) opinion and was completed in time for the June 30, 2024 filing deadline with the state.
The board approved payment to the auditor (motion by Member Derek King; second by Member Greg Moore) on a roll-call vote of 6–0. The acceptance of the audit was moved by Member Greg Moore, seconded by Member Derek Perry, and likewise approved by roll-call vote 6–0. Scott referred members to summary pages in the audit packet showing income statements and a schedule of payments to local governments during the year.
Those actions were taken before the board considered the Tier IV grant applications later in the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:56 a.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
