Committee member Matt Hager called the Grant County Planning & Zoning Commission to order at 10:00 a.m. MST on Nov. 13, 2025. The commission swiftly approved the meeting agenda and the October minutes before taking up permit business.
The commission approved six building permits during the meeting. Committee member Bob Larson moved to approve building permit BLD‑2025‑042 for Larry Wollman to add a mudroom and bathroom; committee member Vernon Straub seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The commission then approved BLD‑2025‑043 (Verizon/Mark Knapek) to make modifications to an existing cell phone tower after a motion from Vern Straub and a second from Barb Kraft. Brendan Becher moved and Vern Straub seconded approval of BLD‑2025‑044 (John Sebastian) to replace a wooden deck with maintenance‑free material; that motion also passed unanimously.
Committee member Barb Kraft moved and committee member Bob Larson seconded approval of BLD‑2025‑045 for Matthew Tishmack to add a mudroom to an existing structure; the motion carried. The final permit approved was BLD‑2025‑046 (New Cingular Wireless/Pieere Giguere) to modify an existing cell phone tower; Bob Larson moved to approve and Brendan Becher seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The minutes record each approval as a motion followed by a second and note the motions carried. No public comments were recorded at the Nov. 13 meeting. The commission set its next regular meeting for Dec. 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. MST (the Schatz Third Subdivision public hearing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.), and AlRoy Hochhalter moved to adjourn; Brendan Becher seconded and the meeting ended at 10:17 a.m. MST.
