The Grant County Planning & Zoning Board held a public hearing Aug. 6, 2025, on a zone‑change request for two parcels (PID 24318100 and PID 24317600) submitted by the Tischmak and Vandenburg property owners and voted unanimously to recommend approval to the Grant County Commissioners.
P&Z Chairman Robert Ternes opened the hearing at 10:10 a.m. MDT and described the purpose as deciding on the requested zone changes. No members of the public spoke during the public-comment portion; the hearing was briefly turned over to County Commissioners Marty Meyer and AlRoy Hochhalter, who called the hearing at 10:24 a.m. MDT and adjourned it at 10:26 a.m. owing to no public comment.
After the hearing the P&Z Board reconvened and took a roll-call motion to recommend approval of the requested zone changes. The board vote to recommend approval was 4-0; the motion to recommend was made by Barb Kraft and seconded by Vernon Straub. Director Jason Albert was directed to deliver the recommendation and paperwork to the County Commissioners for final approval and signatures.
The board recorded no public opposition in the minutes. The procedural recommendation now moves to the county commissioners for their final decision.
