Grant County P&Z approves building and utility permits, sets next meeting date

At its Feb. 13 meeting the Grant County Planning & Zoning Board approved a new-home building permit (BLD-2025-001) and two utility permits (UTL-2025-001 and UTL-2025-002); the board also approved the agenda and January minutes and set the next meeting for March 19, 2025.
The Grant County Planning & Zoning Board approved several routine permits during its Feb. 13, 2025 meeting.
Permit BLD-2025-001, for new home construction belonging to Brandon Shatz, was introduced and approved after a motion by member Bob Larson and a second by Barb Kraft. Utility permit UTL-2025-001, submitted by Mo-Gran-Sou Electrical Cooperative, was approved on a motion by Barb Kraft and a second by Matt Hager. Utility permit UTL-2025-002, submitted by Kelly Dawson for a water-line installation, was approved on a motion by Brenden Becher and a second by Vernon Straub. The minutes record that each motion carried by voice vote ("All in favor").
The board also approved the meeting agenda and the January meeting minutes at the start of the session; Vern (Vernon Straub) moved to approve the agenda and Barb Kraft seconded, while Matt Hager moved to approve the January minutes and Vernon Straub seconded.
The board set its next regular meeting for March 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. MST and adjourned the Feb. 13 meeting at 11:45 a.m. MST.
