Screven County schedules TSPLOST workshop; postpones LMIG bid opening

Following that decision, the board postponed opening 2022 LMIG bids until after the workshop so commissioners can consider road-condition assessments and prioritization. Bobby Smith, Co‑Superintendent of Roads & Bridges, will prepare an assessment and photographs of county roads to inform the discussion and help rank needs.
The workshop is intended to guide how LMIG funding and local priorities will be sequenced. No new dates for LMIG bid openings were provided; the board tied further action to the outcome of the Jan. 24 workshop.
