Screven County commissioners approve budget calendar, lease, RFP and new phone recording system

At its March 14 meeting, the Screven County Board of Commissioners approved several routine business items and procurement actions.
The board approved the FY 2023–24 Budget Calendar, with omission of the Budget Committee for meetings beginning April 10, 2023. Commissioner Rosa Romeo moved for approval; Commissioner Allison Willis seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The board authorized the signing of a Lease Agreement for the Ditch Pond Dumpsite. County Attorney Aaron Meyer said the lease had not yet been signed; Commissioner J.C. Warren moved to sign the agreement "as is," Commissioner Mike Dixon seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Commissioners approved an RFP for tree trimming and debris removal after a motion by Commissioner J.C. Warren and a second by Commissioner Rosa Romeo; that motion carried unanimously.
The board also approved a Mobile Communications Authority quote from E-911 to replace the phone recording system at a cost of $26,124.00. Commissioner J.C. Warren moved to approve the quote; Commissioner Rosa Romeo seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
All items were recorded in the minutes as carried by unanimous vote; no dissenting votes were recorded.
