Long County approves Palmer Place Phase III and appoints Tony Duncan to planning board

The Long County Board of Commissioners approved the Palmer Place Final Plat Phase III and made a new appointment during its regular session on Dec. 1, 2020.
Commissioner Mike Riddle moved and Commissioner Mike Phillips seconded to add Palmer Place Final Plat Phase III as agenda item 12A; that amendment was approved unanimously. Commissioner Mike Phillips later moved to approve the Palmer Place Final Plat Phase III and Chairman Robert Parker seconded the motion. Commissioners Mike Riddle and David Richardson opposed; the motion passed 3-2.
Earlier in the meeting the board unanimously approved the minutes and authorized payment of bills in separate motions. The board also appointed Tony Duncan to the Planning and Zoning Board in a motion by Commissioner Mike Phillips, seconded by Commissioner Mike Riddle; that appointment passed unanimously.
Special recognition was given to Commissioners Mike Riddle, David Richardson and Mike Phillips for their service; Vice Chairman Clifton DeLoach was to be recognized at a later date. The meeting adjourned following the Palmer Place vote and remaining business.
