Ben Hill County commissioners approve two USDA grants for computers and patrol vehicles

Mooney then moved to accept a second grant to purchase two patrol vehicles for the Ben Hill County Sheriff's Department, with the grant not to exceed $25,000 and a county contribution of $49,300 for a total project cost of $74,300. Harmon seconded; the same four commissioners voted to approve the motion.
The meeting record notes that the special teleconference meeting was convened under the authority of OCGA 50-14-1(g) and OCGA 38-3-54 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and related federal and state emergency declarations. The meeting was adjourned after the votes and the minutes were signed by Chairman Steve Taylor and County Clerk Donna R. Prather.
