Chairman Steve Taylor told commissioners that three applications had been received to fill two Fitzgerald Ben Hill County Library Board vacancies and that three names were also in for one opening on the Hospital Authority Board; the hospital board will select a replacement for Barry Peavey from the three nominees submitted by the commission.
County Attorney Virginia Hall provided commissioners with a draft Special Events Ordinance, a resolution template for special exceptions to zoning, and a draft special-event permit application, and asked the commissioners to review the documents and submit suggested changes. Commissioners briefly discussed the documents and asked questions about wording and procedure.
