Hardin County reallocates ARPA and LATCF money to courthouse communications, security and network upgrades

Commissioners approved the package and agreed to commit interest earned on ARPA funds to cover a projected shortfall of $6,531.79 if necessary.
Separately, the court approved spending ARPA-LATCF funds of $181,482.00 plus $8,716.94 in interest on several courthouse-related projects: shelving/storage ($26,000); access control for the courthouse ($81,016); a camera-system upgrade ($95,134.38); and network equipment for satellite offices ($20,820.21). The LATCF approvals create a projected negative balance the court will address using interest proceeds as authorized in the motion.
Commissioner Chris Kirkendall moved to approve the ARPA reallocation; Commissioner Amanda Young seconded. The vote recorded all five members—Judge Wayne McDaniel and Commissioners Kirkendall, L.W. Cooper Jr., Young and Ernie Koch—voting in favor.
