Hardin County approves interlocal agreement for Lumberton satellite clinic and MOUs for social service referrals

Hardin County Commissioners on Jan. 28 authorized the County Judge to execute an interlocal cooperation agreement with the City of Lumberton that will allow Hardin County Health Services to house the Health Inspector Program and provide immunization and WIC services at designated office space at 826 N. Main St., Lumberton. Health Director Sharon Whitley requested the interlocal agreement and the court approved it by recorded motion.
The court also approved memoranda of understanding between Hardin County Health Services and various social services organizations to permit referrals that connect eligible clients to appropriate resources. The meeting record lists the approvals but does not enumerate the partner organizations or include text of the MOUs; those documents will be executed by the County Judge as authorized by the court.
