The Fayette County Board of Commissioners approved its consent agenda and several routine administrative actions at the July 25 meeting.
Items approved on the consent agenda included a tax refund disposition ($2,562.94 for tax years 2021–2023), Contract #1229-P change order #5 for radio communications ($159,975), creation of a SPLOST project for intersection improvements ($8,000), an increased donation amount from Trilith Development, LLC to $1,285,857.29 for the Trilith elevated water storage tank, and approval of the July 11, 2024 meeting minutes.
County Administrator Steve Rapson also reported several contract renewals and operational items. Vice Chairman Edward Gibbons moved to appoint Commissioner Charles W. Oddo as the ACCG Legislative Conference voting delegate; Chairman Lee Hearn seconded and the motion passed 3-0. The board recessed into executive session at 5:52 p.m. to discuss items involving threatened and pending litigation and returned to official session at 6:08 p.m.; the board approved returning to official session and authorized the chairman to sign the Executive Session Affidavit and approved the July 11, 2024 executive session minutes.
Commissioner Charles W. Oddo moved to adjourn; Vice Chairman Edward Gibbons seconded and the motion passed 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 6:08 p.m.
