During routine business the commission approved multiple personnel actions: a starting-pay adjustment for Correction Officer Dhija Williams (step 4 to step 5); hires to fill correction-officer vacancies (Adam Bramel, Naomi Rojas and Tierra Scott); promotion of Angie Calloway to Assistant Chief Clerk; the retirement of Amanda Johnson (Appraiser) and authorization to advertise for a Reappraisal Clerk; the resignation of Brittney Petty (License Clerk/Election Assistant) and authorization to hire a replacement; and the hire of Natalie Kuczmarski to the License Clerk position effective Feb. 9, 2026. All personnel motions passed unanimously and were made on the record by named commissioners.
The commission also approved administrative items including change order #6 with Matthes Parker (RFP #14) for Phase II of the Jail/Courthouse project; an amended contract with Turn Key Health Clinics, LLC (dba TK Health) covering Dec. 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 for services at the Autauga Metro Jail; and authorization to surplus multiple heavy equipment units for sale at the J M Woods auction March 17–21, 2026 (several vehicle models and VINs listed in the minutes). The commission approved Coburn Properties Plat No. 1 (CR-100, District 4) and hired Kristina Gardner as Accounts Payable/Facility Maintenance Coordinator to replace a retiree.
The commission honored Robert Bishop, a truck driver for the road department who retires Feb. 26, 2026, by adopting Resolution No. 2026-11 recognizing his nearly eight years of service. The meeting included an executive session (entered at 5:12 p.m. and exited at 5:54 p.m.). The meeting adjourned at 5:57 p.m.; the commission will reconvene Feb. 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
