Autauga County Commission approves gasoline budget transfers, awards resurfacing contract and recognizes historical society

At its Oct. 21 meeting the Autauga County Commission approved a series of routine financial and contracting actions, including transfers to gasoline budgets and awards for public-works bids.

The commission approved transfers into the general gasoline budget totaling $7,011.68 to cover September usage (funds moved from several department lines) and a $315.38 transfer from the Reappraisal Fund for reappraisal gas use. Commissioners also approved a separate transfer to the Sheriff’s gasoline budget for Animal Control, the school-resource-officer program and the jail.

Commissioners authorized issuing the county’s annual FY2026 bids for materials and public works and awarded a resurfacing contract to APAC-Alabama for project STPMN-0124(252) (CR-81 from CR-10 to CR-6) using MPS funds; Commissioner Jacksland moved the award and Commissioner Thrailkill seconded it; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes record approval of paying the county match but do not list the contract dollar amount.

The commission approved an agreement with EagleView Ortho Imaging and two service agreements with the Autauga-Prattville Public Library and the Family Sunshine Center. It also adopted Resolution #2026-4 recognizing the Old Autauga Historical Society for volunteer efforts to scan and electronically record historical county documents; the minutes record volunteers completed electronically recording records dating back to Dec. 15, 1823 and state the volunteers contributed "more than 588" over 17 months (the minutes do not specify the unit for that number).

The meeting adjourned at 5:24 p.m.; the commission will reconvene Nov. 4, 2025.
